This year, we are studying three Canadian communities: Saskatoon, Sask. Meteghan, Nova Scotia Iqaluit, Nunavut As we learn different things about these places and the land around them, we compare them to Medicine Hat, the community in which we live.

We are currently in the middle of our second unit of the year: Boats and Buoyancy. We are fortunate enough to have borrowed the preschool's water table. This has been filled with water twice already as we experiment with what floats and what sinks. We are trying to figure out what makes things float and sink. It's been fun, so far!
